Women of Grace

Welcome to Women of Grace!

 This is a BRAND NEW ministry here at First Baptist Church and we are so glad you're here to join us!

 We had a Ministry Kick-Off Celebration on Tuesday, September 29th and WOW did we have fun! We played "Get To Know You Bingo", gave aways lots of goodies, prayed together, laughed together and shared our visions for this ministry.

Our Ministry Mission Statement:

"Leading Women to Becoming Fully Devoted Followers of Jesus"

Our Ministry Verse:

Luke 10:27 "... You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.  And, Love your neighbor as yourself."

Women of Grace focuses on each of those commands in this way;

Heart = Service

Soul = Social

Strength = Support

Mind = Study

 As we roll out new things for 2020-2021, everything we do will revolve around one of those areas.  We are committed to becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus and we want you to come with us!

Our first area of focus is getting into God's Word!

 We are starting a brand new study of the Book of Luke beginning on October 4th. The name of the study is Living, Leading, and Loving Like Jesus.  We will use the S.O.A.K. method of study as we read through chapters 1 - 12 between October 5th - November 23rd. If you aren't familiar with this method, there is a detailed explanation written out in the study guide. This guide is available for FREE by stopping by our church office on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 9:00am - 12:00pm.  You can also get one on Sunday mornings during our worship times.

 The book of Luke is a vivid account of the life of Jesus.  Luke takes us on an exciting journey from Jesus’ birth, to his public ministry, his death, resurrection and ascension into heaven.  Luke features over 25 of Jesus’ parables, 20 of his miracles and more than any other gospel – he focuses on the compassion of Jesus. He shows Jesus’ love for women, children, the poor, the outcasts and sinners.

My prayer for you during the next few months is simple: that you will grow closer to our Lord as you dig into His Word each and every day! As you develop the discipline of meeting with Jesus on a daily basis, I pray you will fall deeper in love with Him.

We have study groups forming now -- please let me know if you are intersted in being in one of them!

Check back often and see what God is doing in and through our Women of Grace!

Walking with the King,

Di Oesterle, Director of Women's Ministry
